FT-FR Fire Retardant Fabrics for Flash Armor®

Nomex®

An inherently flame and high temperature resistant fabric made from special meta-aramid fiber yarn. The fabric is made up of aramid rings linked together by aramid bonds. It is non-combustible in air, and will not melt and drip. When exposed to intense heat fabric carbonizes and thickens, forming a virtually impenetrable barrier. Nomex® offers protection that cannot be washed out or worn away. In fact, durability test conducted by DuPont show no deterioration of fabric strength, dimensional stability, or appearance – even after 200 washes.

Nomex® Comfort

Nomex® Comfort has been developed on the basis of meta-aramid and para-aramid fibers. Aramid fabrics offer a high degree of thermal stability. The heat and flame resistant properties are permanent and have been certified after 100 industrial laundering. This collection is very durable and shows an extreme strength.

Nomex® III-A

Nomex® III-A fabrics are perfect for head-to-toe protection against flash fire, electric arc and other dangerous conditions. Lightweight, breathable fabrics made of Nomex® III-A combine unsurpassed flame resistance and exceptional durability wash after wash for the ultimate in comfort and durability.
